Edam's Craft and Trade Show took place Oct. 29, in conjunction with the Edam Fall Fair, in Edam's new rink facility. Having never been to this building before, I was impressed - especially with the two-tiered playroom for toddlers.

Borden volunteer firefighters celebrated their 25th anniversary Nov. 5, with a roast beef supper catered by the Borden Lions Club in the community centre. There were 65 past and present firefighters, first responders and their spouses at the event.

Long warm fall aids harvest operations

The harvest was mostly completed by the end of September. October brought in a few rain showers to delay some of the later fields to be harvest. Fall field work is now taking place, spraying chemicals in preparation for spring seeding.
