The Light of Christ Catholic School Division is introducing a new logo this year. Cory Rideout, director of education, says the idea of a new logo came out of discussion about website changes and establishing more of a web presence.

The Living Sky School Division board has decided any hopes for a new school for the north end of North Battleford are just "pie in the sky." At least any time in the near future.

North Battleford Fire Department has been busy responding to fire incidents in the city this week. Thursday, around 7:47 p.m., fire crews responded to a building fire at 1992 - 100th Street, the former RCMP station.

The rear access to the NationsWEST Field House and Northland Power Curling Centre will be partially closed from Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. until Sept. 15. The partial closure is for landscaping and for removal of materials.

Two streets will be closed all day Sept. 11. The 1400 block of 97th Street and the 1900 block of 102nd Street will be closed all day for water and sewer service installation.

The person charged with uttering a threat to blow up the bridge between North Battleford and Battleford has been released pending his next court appearance.
