The Honourable Don Morgan, Minister of Education, has proclaimed Oct. 20 to 26 as Education Week 2013. This year's theme is Supporting and Celebrating Success.

It's a happy coincidence that the province's theme for this year's Education Week is the same as that chosen by Light of Christ Catholic School Division - Celebrating Student Success.

Motorists will still be facing a detour at the 1600 block of 100th Street this morning as City of North Battleford crews continue to repair a water pipe leading to a business there.

The torching of a stolen vehicle in the RM of Manitou Lake just before midnight Oct. 17 has resulted in the destruction of a wooden bridge. Cut Knife RCMP say the vehicle, stolen from Lloydminster, was set on fire near the Old Buzzard Bridge.
