North Battleford remains a popular spot for those crossing the country for a cause. That was evident again Wednesday, as local WA WA Shriners in the Battlefords welcomed the national Exceptional Care Odyssey to the community.

The provincial government has again signed on to a gas tax agreement with the government of Canada. The agreement, spanning 10 years, will send $56.3 million to municipalities for infrastructure projects in the year 2014-15.

The Battlefords RCMP had a busy night Thursday. They responded to more than 50 calls for service between 6 a.m. Thursday, June 26 and 6 a.m Friday, June 27.

Approximately 50 calls for service were made to the North Battleford RCMP during the 48-hour period between 6 a.m. Saturday, June 28 and 6 a.m. Monday, June 30.
