A Battleford man has been arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled substance. Ian Dusty Gopher, age 39, was arrested May 1 by the Battlefords RCMP Provincial and Municipal General Investigative Sections.

A north end business on the 2000 block of 100th Street has been the victim of an armed robbery. The incident was reported to RCMP shortly after 10 p.m. Monday.

The indecent assault case involving a former Moosomin Day School teacher will return to court in June.

North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services responded to a fire on Panton Avenue Friday evening. No injuries were reported. A total of 14 firefighters were on the scene for just over an hour and a half.
