Two people have been charged in connection to an assault with a weapon incident on Red Pheasant First Nation south of the Battlefords. The incident happened around 3 a.m. Dec. 28. RCMP say they responded to a shots-fired call.

Two new group homes and a condominium project that sparked much debate and discussion at city hall this fall helped lead North Battleford to a big month in permit values in November.

There have been no injuries and property damage has not be significant, but emergency crews were busy responding to multiple vehicle crashes Wednesday. At 12:30 p.m. two vehicles collided at the intersection of Territorial Drive and Highway 4 north.

As the city grows, so do local businesses. Farm World in Humboldt will be constructing a new building on the outskirts of the city on Hwy. 5 east this spring. The building will be larger than their current location.
