The Battlefords kicked off 2016 the way a first place team should. Coming into Saturday’s tilt against Kindersley, the North Stars held a perfect 5-0 record against their interdivision rivals.

The John Paul II Collegiate junior boys’ basketball team is off to a 7-0 start versus their junior competition.

Roughrider fans will feel more than welcome

Coming into Saturday night’s contest between the North Stars and the Bombers, Flin Flon had been one of the hottest teams in the SJHL, winning all six of their past games.

The Battlefords Stars hosted the Saskatoon Blazers Saturday for some afternoon hockey at the Civic Centre.
