Battlefords Co-op Aquatic Centre offers swim lessons, lots of swim lessons - and there should be something for everyone.

It was looking like déjà vu all over again for the Battlefords North Stars through nine minutes of Wednesday's game against the La Ronge Ice Wolves.

After a pair of losses in Weyburn over the weekend, the Battlefords Sharks are on a two-week break before hitting the ice again. The Sharks took on the Southern Range Gold Wings Saturday and Sunday and lost each contest.

The Battlefords North Stars announced Thursday 19-year-old forward Blake Young has verbally accepted a scholarship offer to join the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs for the 2014-15 season.

Athletes from across the province took part in the 2013 Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association Provincial Cross-Country Championships last weekend. Medstead School was the host for the competition, which was held at Little Loon Regional Park.
