A long-time member of the Knights of Columbus, Tisdale Legion and Wildlife Federation has been given a lifetime award for his volunteerism. Doug Wisser was presented with the award at the Town of Tisdale Appreciation Night Nov. 15.

Colton Halvorson is thrilled to be back on the ice with the Carrot River Outback Thunder. Last season, the Colonsay product’s rookie campaign was limited to 18 games due to concussion issues. Halvorson has already played in 15 games this time around.

A slow start sunk the Melfort Mustangs as they fell 3-2 to the Yorkton Terriers in Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League action from Yorkton on Nov. 22.

What started as a fairly equal battle for the Tisdale Trojans as they competed against the Beardy's Blackhawks at home soon turned into a solid 4-2 victory for the team.

Greenwater RCMP are looking for two suspicious adults that approached a 10-year-old child in Rose Valley. The incident, which happened on 1st Avenue near the Community Hall, happened on Nov. 22 at approximately 6:20 p.m.

The Town of Nipawin won’t be contributing money to help fix Highway #255, which leads to the Resort Village of Tobin Lake.

The Nipawin Hawks used a stingy defensive effort to knock off the Estevan Bruins 2-1 in Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League action from Nipawin on Nov. 21.
