The provincial government has announced plans to create a new provincial park southeast of Hudson Bay.

With 49 votes, Zachary Youzwa has been elected as councillor for the RM of Nipawin's Division 5. Youzwa defeated David Hluchaniuk , who received 15 votes; Jason Froese , who received 14; and Conrad Kimmie , who received 4.

A group wanting to start a daycare within the empty parts of Gronlid Central School is reeling after the North East School Division told them they wouldn’t lease the building – seven months after supporting the concept.

The North East School Division is asking for two portables each for Melfort’s Brunswick and Maude Burke elementary schools, Nipawin’s Central Park Elementary and Tisdale Elementary.
