Operation Crossroads results in 422 tickets

More than 400 motorists received tickets last week during a province-wide traffic safety blitz targeting traffic safety at intersections.

Between Feb. 8 and Feb. 14 the Carlyle detachment of the RCMP received 38 calls. On Feb. 8 RCMP were called to attend a collision west of Redvers on Highway 13. There were no injuries.

Local youth set to attend We Day

For the first time since its inception in 2007, We Day will be held in Saskatchewan. It is being hosted on Feb. 27 in Saskatoon at the Credit Union Centre. Expected to attend are 15,000 students and teachers from 300 schools across the province.

Lomond 4-H to hold speeches

The Lomond 4-H Beef Club held their regular meeting on February 4. Included in the discussion was the curling event that took place on January 19. New business included speeches, which will be held in February.

There are 26 GFK student leaders and 4 chaperones attending the very first "We Day Saskatchewan" at the Credit Union Centre on February 27th, 2013! The students are getting very excited about this day that is centered around social action.

Time running out for retrofit grants
