The adjudicators for each portion of the Weyburn Rotary Music Festival has been chosen for the annual competition, which will be getting underway on Monday, March 5, starting with the piano portion. The piano competition will run from Mar.

Margaret May Cugnet, late of Weyburn, and formerly of Halbrite, passed away February 13, 2012 at the age of 92 years. Margaret was born to Gerald and Rosalie Sherrow on March 10, 1919. She was raised at Halbrite and attended school there.

Joyce Cross passed away peacefully on February 14, 2012 at the age of 78 years. She is predeceased by her husband, Roy, infant son, Michael, parents, Robert and Bernadine Plummer, and brother, Terry Plummer.

The Weyburn District Regional Planning Commission announced on Thursday that the City and RM of Weyburn have entered into a joint agreement with a land owner that will add to the development of residential and commercial land in the area.

Weyburn's Legal Aid office will be closing as it will be "consolidated" with the office in Estevan - but the head of Legal Aid Saskatchewan assures that the Legal Aid services will still be available to those who need them in Weyburn.
