A meeting is being held in regards to the future of the Tommy Douglas Centre and the public is being asked for input.

The third annual Saskatchewan Rising Symposium is being held October 21 at McKenna Hall in Weyburn. Headlining this event will be Paul Martin of Martin Charlton Communications.

The Weyburn Red Wings traveled to Yorkton Saturday in hopes of starting the 2010-11 regular season off with a road victory.

The Weyburn Bantam Raiders arrived at Darold Kot Field on September 18 to take on the Regina Packers. What a game it was! The first half was the best the Raiders have ever played. Both of the Raider lines saw and played a lot of time.

The Marathon of Hope celebrated its 30th year in 2010 and Weyburn's Terry Fox Run celebrated its own 30-year anniversary. Weyburn's Terry Fox Run was held at River Park on September 19 and raised $565.

Flu season is returning to southeast Saskatchewan. Seasonal influenza immunization clinics will begin in Sun Country Health Region (SCHR) on Tuesday, October 12.
