Saskatchewan government releases safe schools plan for resumption of classes in September

Saskatchewan’s 27 school divisions have plans in place for the safe return of students and staff to the classroom in September, the provincial government announced Tuesday.

Province introduces new COVID-19 map; shows number of cases in the southeast

The Ministry of Health has launched new COVID-19 maps to provide more detailed information on the location of cases across Saskatchewan. One map has 13 regions with comprehensive statistical information for COVID-19 activity in that region.

Additional communities receive funding

The provincial government has announced further funding for municipalities through the Municipal Economic Enhancement Program (MEEP). Government Relations Minister Lori Carr announced July 29 that another 244 projects, representing more than $88.

Environment Canada has lifted the tornado warning that was in effect for the Estevan area. The warning was issued at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday afternoon for the Rural Municipalities of Estevan, Benson and Cambria. It was lifted at 6:02 p.m.
