Effective 8 a.m. June 21, eligibility for second doses of COVID-19 vaccine opens to anyone who received their first dose of COVID-19 va​ccine on or before May 15. Going forward, eligibility will be based solely on the date of your first immunization.

Saskatchewan enters Step 2 of the Re-Open Saskatchewan Road Map on June 20 and in-person gathering limits increase across a number of sectors and for private gatherings. Most notably, private indoor gatherings will increase from 10 to 15 people.

The community has been paying tribute to the Class of 2021 at the Estevan Comprehensive School (ECS) throughout the day Saturday, and they’ll get a big chance to salute the grads on Saturday evening. A bubble parade will start at 7 p.m.

The valedictorian for the Estevan Comprehensive School’s Class of 2021 says his peers have been able to persevere through some challenging times. Kaleb Bechtold earned the valedictorian distinction with an average of 99.3 per cent.

The Estevan Comprehensive School (ECS) is honouring the Class of 2021 on Saturday. For the second straight year, the school is going to host a virtual ceremony, with a video, since the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions don’t allow the Comp.

For the first time since June 12, there is a new case of COVID-19 in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan. There are now three active cases of the virus in Zone 4.

The Rotary Club of Estevan met the needs of their hungry for seafood supporters. The 2021 Lobsterfest to Go was held in the parking lot of the Power Dodge Curling Centre on Saturday. Over 720 lobsters were sold this year.
