By Mary Moffat Cornerstone Theatre Group wove its magic again this past weekend, with two dinner theatres April 26 and 27, and a matinee April 28, to the delight of theatre-goers.

The Estevan Public Library has a new acting branch manager. Roxy Blackmore, who has been the adult program co-ordinator since January 2018, will be holding the position on a one-year contract basis.

Country music fans in the Estevan area will get to hear some of Canada’s most well-known talents perform their songs later this month. The Hit After Hit tour will be at Affinity Place on May 11.

The Diamond Dancers and the Hitch and Vine Twirlers wrapped up their season by hosting their annual Sun City Weekend on April 12 and 13 at the Estevan 60-and-Over Club inside the Estevan Leisure Centre.

Summer is a time for fun and discovery, a time to explore new things and new limits. For those who are under age, it is up to parents to provide opportunities for adventures.

The Souris Valley (SV) Museum always has something fun for kids of different ages, and the spring break time wasn’t an exception. This year, the museum organized two spring camps.

Former Estevan resident Gail Barrett will do readings from her book Anxiety: Calming the Chaos Within at the beginning of May. Barrett, née Marcotte, grew up in Torquay, and since being a child she wanted to help other people.

The Weyburn Concert Series will present Chris Collins and Boulder Canyon, as a tribute to the late John Denver, on Thursday, May 2 at the Cugnet Centre at 7:30 p.m.

Students from Weyburn and the surrounding area will be attending the Signal Hill Arts Centre in May for clay classes, and for an additional treat, artist trading cards.
