Members of the Hearts and Hands Quilting Guild have been busy preparing a quilt for the raffle at the upcoming United Way Estevan telethon. United Way board member Wendy Gustafson said this year’s quilt looks fantastic.

“Grain Report” will be performing some catchy tunes on their old-time instruments when they appear at the Cugent Centre for the Communithon Concert Jam on Saturday, October 21.

A former Estevan resident has received top marks for his ability on the piano. Max Hiske, a 15-year-old who now resides in Weyburn, received the Medal of Excellence for Saskatchewan from Conservatory Canada for those at the Grade 8 level.

The next concert in the Estevan Arts Council’s Stars for Saskatchewan series will be a renowned singer, songwriter and pianist. Laila Biali is an award-winning Canadian musician who brings together traditional jazz with contemporary pop.

Kinsmen Telemiracle is looking for Saskatchewan singers, dancers, bands, and entertainers to audition for a chance to perform at Telemiracle 42 to be held March 3 and 4, 2018, in Regina, and broadcast live on CTV Saskatchewan.

Carlyle was treated to a vocally stunning performance on Saturday, Sept. 23, with Jo-Jo O’ & The WOODS taking to the Memorial Hall stage.

Bellegarde author Tanya Reimer has released her most recent novel. Cursed on the Prairies is the third tale in her Sacred Land series, published by Elsewhen Press. It was released as an e-book on Sept.

Mary-Lou Rosengren has wanted to be an author since she was eight years old. At one time, she thought she would publish a novel.

Matthew Hornell and Andrew Sneddon will explore the music they love, when they perform at the Cugnet Centre for the Communithon Concert Jam on Saturday, October 21.
