It will be a busy spring for the Weyburn Arts Council, as a number of new art exhibits will be placed on display at the art galleries in the city.

Lampman School’s drama club is heading back to the Saskatchewan Drama Festival. The school took top spot at the Region 1 Drama Festival at Oxbow Prairie Horizons School on March 31 to advance to provincials.

Two volunteers with the Estevan and District Music Festival were acknowledged and given accolades for their long hours of volunteer efforts with the festival over the years.

Rockglen hosted a number of entertainment events on March 18 and the highlight was the Johnny Cash tribute concert.

The 51st annual Lafleche and District Music Festival got underway on April 2, presenting 111 voice and musical theatre entries along with 21 speech arts performances.

The G.F. Kells High School Senior Drama is performing “Troubleshooting” by Bradley Hayward at this year’s Region One Drama Fest held in Oxbow March 31 and April 1. In the performance cast are Shayna N., Madison H., Jillian H., Matthew F., Payton H.

A new, exciting Weyburn Concert Series season was announced on Tuesday evening, during the Fortunate Ones concert at the Weyburn Cugnet Centre.
