The Estevan Arts Council’s (EAC) annual adjudicated art show is still several months away, but the organization has already issued a call for submissions.

The Estevan Art Gallery and Museum (EA GM) has kicked off what will be another busy month for its Artist in the Making summer art camps. The first camp, Diversity in Art, opened on July 4 and will continue until July 7.

The first main stage show at the Souris Valley Theatre’s Frehlick Hall this summer is expected to generate lots of laughs for the audience.

Young people in southeast Saskatchewan had a creative start to their summer vacation during a three-day art camp in North Portal from June 21 to 23.

The Manor School Drama Club hosted their annual performance on Wednesday, June 15. This year they hosted a dinner theatre in the school gym, which was very well attended.

The Souris Valley Theatre has devised a way to celebrate Estevan’s history and to promote one of its main stage shows this summer. The theatre will host the Bordertown Bootleggers Run dice rally on Aug. 6.

An up-and-coming Belgium singer and song-writer will be showcased during a gig at the Smaug’s Smoke Shop in Weyburn on Wednesday, July 6 at 7 p.m.

The Souris Valley Theatre is pleased with the support shown for its inaugural Ladies Night fundraiser on June 25 at the Doug Third Hall.

Everyone knows that the Saskatchewan Summer Games will bring many of Saskatchewan’s top young athletes to the Estevan area from July 24 to 30. But it will also be a showcase for all that Estevan has to offer, including cultural opportunities.

There are a lot of upcoming events being hosted by the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce. First up is the annual Fair Parade. Businesses and organizations are reminded to register their float by Tuesday, June 28.
