Students from the Weyburn Junior High are hard at work cleaning up the yard areas around the Weyburn Special Care Home on Thursday, the second day a crew from the school came over to help the care home facility out.

Once again Weyburn Concert Series is offering its Early Bird Season Ticket Promotion for 2014-2015 to save $26 on memberships purchased before May 31. The 2014-2015 season is promising to be one you won't want to miss.

Members of Crocus Quilters of Weyburn are busy preparing for their Spring Bouquet of Quilts V which will take place May 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. and May 10, 10 to 4 p.m. at the Weyburn Curling Rink.

Although they live in the same house, this artsy couple use very different mediums. Jaynie and Max Himsl are Art Farm board members, called articulturists, and will be displaying their very different art work at Art Farm on June 14.

Mental health, much like one's physical health, should never be taken for granted, but needs to be cared for, and when treatment or healing is needed, this should be sought out to ensure one's mental health is looked after.

The Weyburn Comp School has taken over the Relay for Life fundraiser for Weyburn this year. A special event to raise awareness and funds for the Canadian Cancer Society will be held Saturday, May 24 at the Comp, called "Friends of Relay".

Tommy Wagner loves to dance, as the music beats in his heart and his soul, and his biggest dream is to get to Los Angeles as a professional dancer.

Weyburn Arts Council hosted two receptions April 25. The 2014 Local Adjudication Reception was held at Signal Hill Gallery. During the day professional artist, Leslie Potter critiqued the work of 13 local artists.

Due to a lack of ticket sales, the dinner portion of the performance of Grease scheduled for Sunday, May 4 has been cancelled. However, the show must go on. The Sunday performance will take place at 7 p.m.
