The Estevan Sharks water polo program came home with three medals from the provincial finals in Saskatoon this past weekend. The atoms sent two teams to provincials.

Skate Canada - Saskatchewan and DUSO'S offer the Skater of the Month Award to recognize two skaters throughout the province and within the Skate Canada program with a $100 bursaries to each Skater of the Month.

Brooke Archer, an 11-year-old goalie from Mossbank, captured two league championships in a single day on March 25. Archer plays hockey for the Moose Jaw peewee and bantam Mavericks.

He refers to himself as the other famous “Tiger” and much like the Tiger who golfs, Weyburn-born Dave Williams has also had his fair share of press over the years.

The teams that entered the Broomball Canada juvenile nationals in Estevan as the defending champions successfully defended their national titles. Nationals were held at Affinity Place and the Civic Auditorium from March 28 to 31.

Members of the Estevan Gymnastics Club’s pre-competitive and competitive teams travelled to Saskatoon on March 25 and 26 for the Can-Am Personal Best competition.

The Estevan Mermaids synchronized swimming club sent 39 athletes to the 2017 Sadie Caulder Knight Provincial Stream competition in Regina on Saturday and Sunday.

The Power Dodge Estevan Bruins season came to an end on Tuesday night in a 6-1 loss to the Battlefords North Stars at Affinity Place. Battlefords swept the best-of-seven series in four games, and outscored the Bruins 23-8.

The Estevan Tarpon Energy peewee Storm are the champions of the South East Minor Hockey League. The Storm defeated the host Radville Nationals 2-1 in overtime on March 26 to win the best-of-three series in three games.

The Estevan Comprehensive School’s (ECS) Elecs cheerleading team took top spot in the senior school level 2 at the 11th annual provincial cheerleading competition in Weyburn on March 25. ECS finished with a score of 93.
