The SHSAA will be staging the 2013 High School Provincial Wrestling Championships on March 8 and 9 in Regina. The tournament will be hosted by the RHSAA at the University of Regina.

On March 1 the Qmax Wild travelled to Redvers for their first playoff game. The final score was 7-2 for the Redvers Rockets. The two goals for the Qmax Wild were scored in the third period.

Weyburn Southern Range Gold Wing goaltender, Jane Kish, has been named to the 2012/13 Sask. Female Midget AAA Hockey League All Star team. Kish has backstopped her team to an 18-8-0-2 season.

With last night's series win over Kindersley, the Estevan Bruins now move on to the Sherwood Conference semis to meet the first-place Yorkton Terriers. Here's a look at the series.

The Estevan Bruins rode a quick start and a strong defensive effort to a 4-1 victory over the Kindersley Klippers on Wednesday, eliminating the Klippers in four games in the Sherwood Conference survivor series.

The Bienfait Coalers needed overtime to get the job done in the first game of their semifinal series against the Redvers Rockets. The first-place Coalers edged sixth-place Redvers 4-3 in extra time on Friday in Bienfait to take a 1-0 series lead.

Graham DeLaet tied for ninth at the Honda Class last week, after having two really good rounds and two difficult rounds at the Palm Beach Course in Florida. DeLaet, a former Weyburn athlete, is now ranked 50th on the FedExCup.

The playoffs are a brand new season in hockey and the CanElson Drilling Estevan Bruins drove that point home on Saturday and Sunday.

Clubs from Estevan and Lampman combined to bring home 49 medals from the Global TaeKwon-Do Martial Arts provincials in Saskatoon on Saturday. The two clubs sent 39 competitors, including 33 from Estevan, to the event.
