It was right there for the taking. The Estevan Bruins generated all kinds of scoring chances, but they failed to capitalize, made a few mistakes, and at the end of the night the scoreboard read 3-1 for the Kindersley Klippers.

Six men were forever cemented in the history books of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League on Friday night as the newest inductees of the SJHL Hall of Fame.

A few members of the Estevan Mermaids synchronized swimming club participated in the Sandy Roberts National Stream Provincials in Saskatoon on the weekend.

Considering how bad the Estevan Bruins were on the road this season, not many people would have expected them to storm into Kindersley this weekend and take both games. But that's exactly what they did.

On February 20, the Weyburn Qmax Wild played Radville in their last regular league game for the 2012/2013 season. After two periods of play the score was locked at 0-0. In the third period, Radville scored two goals to defeat Weyburn 2-0.

The Novice Cougars (8 & under) placed 5th in their division with the final week of regular play resulting in one win and one loss. On Feb. 16 the Cougars hosted Carnduff. With Logan Romaniuk between the posts, the team pulled a 12-5 win.

The deadline for submissions for the Maroniuk-Marcoux baseball scholarship award is March 15, 2013.

Once again, Weyburn has entered the race to win $10,000 from Saskatchewan in motion. Before March 15, everyone can do their part to help Weyburn in motion win the Community Challenge.
