New curator 'reinventing' self for city's Arts Council

After working many years in the arts, especially the performing arts, Weyburn resident Ron Ror is setting out to "reinvent" himself as he enters the realm of the visual arts as the new curator for the Weyburn Arts Council.

The annual Crocus Open was held June 16 & 17 with 88 men competing. Marc Henderson was steady firing a 73-72 to win the Crocus Classic in Weyburn over the weekend. Henderson picked up 500 Order of Merit Tour points with his steady play.

Seals compete in Humboldt

Seven members of the Weyburn Silver Seals travelled to Humboldt on June 23 to attend the first swim meet of the season. Bransyn Lyon won a gold medal in the 7-8 boys category, taking first in the 50 free, 25 fly, 25 free and 25 back.
