Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of April 16 to 22: During the reporting period, police dealt with 97 calls for service.

At their meeting on April 23, Council approved the concept plan by Nicor for the development of the Souris Valley Land area. The concept plan is a three-phase development that includes smaller lots for single family homes and multi-family homes.

The Board of Education recently moved a motion to retain the name 'Weyburn Comprehensive School' for the new facility and the motion was accepted. A naming committee had been devised to provide recommendations.
