The Southeast Cornerstone School Division has received a report from an area In-School Administrator that an area business was contacted through telephone and was asked to make a monetary donation to SECPSD.

Weyburn police chief Marlo Pritchard will wrap up his time as the city’s top cop on Friday, and will begin his new position on Monday, Sept. 23, as president of the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency.

A fall training camp for wrestlers will be hosted by the Weyburn Wrestling Club, featuring Canadian gold medalist Erica Wiebe on the weekend of Sept. 28-29, along with a visit to a school.

The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings played their first road game of the season and the outcome was less than ideal.

Const. Melinda Mintenko put the cuffs on Chief Marlo Pritchard, while Const. Kalin Wiebe did the same with fire chief Simon Almond, at the Police Commission meeting on Wednesday afternoon at City Hall.
