Weyburn Review

Members of the Young Fellows Club of Weyburn gathered to present their final instalment of $25,000, as part of a five-year commitment to donate $125,000 in funds towards the paddling pool at the Don Mitchell Tot Lot on Monday.

Pangman residents Melissa Kimball, Patti Gurskey, Carri Henheffer and Amber Omoth headed to Regina on Aug. 16 to compete in the Charity Championship hosted by Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw.

The Weyburn Golf held its annual Club Championship on Sunday with 54 golfers attending. The results were as follows. In the ladies division, gross scores, first place went to Tara Busch with a score of 88.

The Richardson Pioneer Red Wings have traded 03 prospect from the Swift Current area, Noah Hills, to the Batteford North Stars. In exchange they have received 01 Defensemen, Nick Dobson from Calgary Alberta.

The Weyburn Lions Club held a Pancake Breakfast frundraiser in the gazebo at River Park on August 25. The funds raised from the breakfast are going towards building a fully-accessible playground at St.Michael School.

Horse riders from the southeast area tested their skills in riding and handling a horse competing at the Griffin Horse Show, held Saturday and Sunday at a farm just east of Griffin.

A family took their turn at the baseball station as part of the Community Chase, one of several stations set up around River Park on Friday afternoon.
