TRAIL and MUSKEG fires are back to not being contained, with property owners in Canoe River advised to leave

Environment Canada has issued a heat advisory for several regions in Saskatchewan, with daytime highs near 30 C expected into early next week.

Saskatchewan firefighters, including crews from Carlyle, Carnduff and Manor, joined the fight against hundreds of northern wildfires.

The Muskeg fire north of La Plonge Reserve and Beauval is the only remaining fire currently not contained, says SPSA.

The wildfire situation in Saskatchewan is stabilizing as outside crews leave and no evacuation orders remain in place.

Communities within 39 RMs are affected.

With only eight fires not yet contained, Sask. begins sending home outside help, including military and crews from Australia and Quebec.

But a risk of severe weather is expected to last throughout the overnight hours.

Now down to 60 wildfires actively burning in Saskatchewan.
