The Yorkton Dynamite Under 16 girls captured gold for the second consecutive tournament in Regina in the Credit Union Eventplex at the Queen City United tournament. The girls defeated a Division 1 Under 14 team to capture the tournament gold.

To the Editor: Like Western Canadian farmers, our Government was disappointed with the December 7 Federal Court declaration. We disagree with the declaration and on behalf of western grain farmers, we have filed an appeal.

The mild temperatures over the weekend were perfect for folks to get out and enjoy the snow. Approximately 1,200 guests flocked to their favorite winter destination for some skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing and even a few for snowbiking.

The Yorkton Novice Clean Spot Terriers were the "C" side Champs at the recent Roblin Stars Tournament. The Clean Spot Terriers defeated the host Stars team, lost to Russell and then got by the Yorkton Thorsness Terriers in the "C" final.

The new basketball season is underway for the Sacred Heart High School (SHHS) senior boys. The Senior Saints were runners up at a recent tournament in Melville. The Saints downed Melville 72-38 in their opening game.
