Wow, while there's no question these penalties would act as a deterrent as well as set a precedent, don't you have to sometimes wonder about the world justice systems? A Swedish driver who was recently caught speeding is now looking at a hefty fine.

US fugitives sought

They may be armed and both are considered to be extremely dangerous so RCMP are continuing to remind the public - including those in the Yorkton area - to be on the lookout for two US fugitives, John McCluskey and Casslyn Welch.

Body found

Fort Qu'Appelle RCMP were involved in a search for a missing 20 year old male for a period of five days until the body was discovered Tuesday aftneroon. On the evening of Thursday, August 12at approximately 8:00 p.m.

Yorkton court appearances

Nineteen-year-old Gabriel Poundmaker of North Battleford who was being sought for Break, Enter & Theft over $5,000 and Theft under $5,000 was arrested by Yorkton R.C.M.P on August 14 when he was encountered by officers on patrol.
