Junior curling teams from Sturgis, Preeceville, Canora and Norquay had fun and received some extra ice time prior to districts that were held in Yorkton on January 27 and 28. The mini bonspiel was held at the Sturgis Curling rink on January 24.

Peewee Cobras win one hockey game and lose one

The Canora Peewee Cobras hockey team won one game January 20 and lost a second game the next day. At the Canora Civic Centre on January 20, the Cobras defeated Kamsack Flyers 7-5.

CCS junior girls basketball team wins all three games at Yorkton tournament

The Canora Composite School’s junior girls basketball team returned from Yorkton January 21 having won all three of the games played at the Yorkdale tournament.
