Saskatchewan’s top curling team, Team Laycock, ranked fifth in the world, will be holding a curling clinic this weekend for youths aged 10-17 at the Yorkton Curling Club.

Margaret Waselenko of Pelly submitted an old photograph of a hockey team saying the newspaper might be interested in seeing it, but she knows little else about the picture.

The Parkland Lions, a team that is a member of the Midget AA Division of the South Saskatchewan Female Hockey League (SSFHL), hosted the Notre Dame Hounds January 9 and 10 in Springside.

It was a rather successful weekend for the YRHS Lady Raiders basketball team.

This past weekend the senior Saints girls hosted an eight team tournament. The Saints started the tournament playing Melville on Friday with the support of many Sacred Heart students and staff.

The YRHS Raiders senior boys’ basketball team made their way to Estevan on the weekend to take part in an eight team basketball tournament and returned with gold medals.

It was a tough weekend for the Sacred Heart Saints senior boys’ basketball team.

The Yorkton United Sonics U12 Boys Soccer Team have brought home their second Division One gold medal in as many tournaments.
