YRHS juniors continue their winning ways

The Yorkton Regional High School Raider Gridder junior football team started out flat in their Sunday afternoon date with the Regina Lakers. Then they turned the tables around completely and won by 12 points.

The Sacred Heart junior football team played their first road game of the season in Melville against the Cobras on Monday. Melville came out on top 24-16.

The Sacred Heart Saints girls soccer team travelled to Prince Albert Sept 9/10 for a tournament hosted by St. Mary High School. The girls won the 'B' side by winning two games and losing one. Their record for the season is 4-1.

In the battle of two teams who were winless going into Saturday's football game, something had to give. With a 32-26 win on home field, the Yorkton Pee Wee Gridders snapped a three-game losing skid.

The YRHS girls' volleyball program hosted a weekend tournament involving eight teams. Taking part was Kelvington, Balgonie, Oxbow, Melville, Canora, Weyburn and Prince Albert (Carlton).
