Monday saw the introduction at North Battleford council of amendments to the City’s fire prevention and emergency services bylaw.

The monsoon conditions that swamped North Battleford at the end of the working day July 13 were discussed at council Monday. The rainstorm had caused localized flooding at various points in the city.

With Habitat for Humanity - Battlefords turning the sod this week on their duplex build in North Battleford, the City of North Battleford has agreed to a request for a grant towards the project.

The 400 or so refugees from Northern Saskatchewan wildfires have returned to their homes. Let’s breathe a collective sigh of relief on their behalf. It is difficult to try to put oneself in their position.

North Battleford council gave first reading Monday to a bylaw amendment in the north end of the city. The bylaw is a zoning amendment impacting the area around Sandpiper Road and Finch Crescent.
