Now that we are officially into the fall season on the calendar, I thought it would be a good time to reflect on the change of seasons at the cinemas as well.

Chad Weasel, 26, appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court Monday, charged with sexual assault following two alleged incidents Saturday evening. According to RCMP, the first incident took place before 7 p.m. Saturday.

Two from North Battleford are among those honoured for exemplary service achievements in Saskatchewan correctional services. Saskatchewan Justice 2013 honourees include Tami Handley and Stephen Kmiech, both of North Battleford.

Penalties, penalties, penalties. For two periods it looked like their penalty-killing would be the story of the game for the Battlefords North Stars.

Plans are in place to hold a meeting to discuss organization of a Neighbourhood Watch in the city. The date for that proposed public meeting is Sept. 30 in the evening at the Don Ross Centre.

The City of North Battleford has raised the possibility of bringing in a possible anti-bullying bylaw. The issue was brought up at Monday's council meeting by Councillor Trent Houk, in response to some calls from constituents about it.
