STOCKS : It is with sadness that we mourn the passing of Edna Stocks (Nee: Hirtz) who was born July 25, 1924 at Birsay, SK and passed away April 1, 2012 at Battleford, SK at the age of 87 years.

Thanksgiving, Christmas, funerals, Easter - there are only a few times every year when we gather with family and friends to sit down at the dinner table together. At my age, everyone's drinking, and plenty of those relatives are quite distant.

GILLESPIE - Allen Dale Gillespie passed away on March 30, 2012 at River Heights Lodge. He was born June 23, 1927 at Oyen, Alberta to parents Charles and Ruby Gillespie. Both of his parents immigrated from Ireland, homesteading in the Oyen district.

ARCHIBALD-POLICHUK - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sally Marie Archibald-Polichuk, late of North Battleford, Saskatchewan on March 31, 2012 at the age of 66 years.

Some big changes are apparent to regular visitors to Territorial Place because of major renovations to the interior of the mall.

Sunday morning we woke up to a white world again. The snow that fell in the night partially disappeared during the day and travelling was not affected by the snow. Monday we once again woke up to see new snow on the ground.

Every Sunday I review the events of the past week looking for lessons that God has taught or is attempting to teach me.

Bingo was played March 7 at the Maidstone Drop In Centre with Margaret MacEachern and Denise Newton doing the calling. The loonie pot was divided between Jean Hartman, Margaret MacEachern, Denise Newton and Dorothy Schwartz.

April 4: Colleen Koski was at her son Riley's for supper Sunday. It was an early Easter supper for them as Riley is leaving for a holiday in Europe. Irene McKee is now a resident in Pine Island Lodge.

The Chapel Gallery presents a Beginners' Mask Making workshop with Karen Kowalski. The workshop will run Friday, May 4 through Sunday, May 6 at the gallery.
