The Speers Recreation Board has been busy so far in 2012. The board offered a winter and a spring fitness class that was enjoyed by all who attended. Thanks to Susan Rice for teaching the classes. Look for another class to begin in the fall.

Spring is here and it means trade fair weekend in Maidstone. The Maidstone Chamber of Commerce's 28th Annual Trade Fair will run April 14 and 15 at the arena. Saturday the show will be open from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. The hours for Sunday are 11 a.m.

Dear Editor Over the past several years there has been much controversy in our community about the need for a multipurpose recreational facility for the Battlefords.
