Everyone loves a parade, and Battleford's annual event, that had a royal theme this year, drew out the crowds on a perfect summer evening Friday. The Town of Battleford Recreation Department has released the winners of this year's parade categories.

A house fire in Riverview early Thursday morning is being described as suspicious by fire officials and is under investigation by the RCMP. North Battleford firefighters were called to a the fire in the 700 block of 100 Street.

Celebration of excellence held at NCS

Clarence Stone receives one-year conditional sentence

Clarence Stone receives one-year conditional sentence

Judge Danyliuk delivered Clarence Stone's sentence in Regina recently, giving him a one-year conditional sentence and 200 hours of community service. Stone had served as Chief of Mosquito First Nation for a total of 16 years between 1992 and 2011.
