The Battlefords AAA Sharks were trying to carry the momentum of their first win of the season into Tuesday's game, but that wasn't the case.

For two nights, Dec. 11 and 12, students of Turtleford Community School entertained and fed the community with theatre and dessert. In keeping with the times, the students began the evening with an exciting dance number entitled Foot Loose.

Sonningdale Hall was packed to capacity Dec. 10 for the annual Big Buck Night. More than 250 attended and Jim Wiebe and David Pezderic scored 30 heads.

L'HEUREUX: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emile L'Heureux, late of North Battleford, Saskatchewan on December 6, 2011 at the age of 87 years. Emile Joseph was born on September 12, 1924 at Jackfish District, Saskatchewan.

MANSHIP: In Loving Memory of Robert Harold Manship who was born October 21, 1939 at NW22-51-2 W3rd ~ Turtleford, SK and passed away November 6, 2011 at Riverside Health Complex, Turtleford, SK.

DEVERDENNE: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marcel Robert Deverdenne, late of Edmonton and formerly of North Battleford, SK on December 5, 2011 at the age of 90 years. Marcel was born February 18, 1921 at Redu, Belgium.

The December meeting of the River's Edge Quilters was attended by only 15 members. December is a busy month for members, so no classes were scheduled. Four classes were hosted in November and all were well attended.
