Opening day at Table Mountain

Saturday, Dec. 3 marks the first day of skiing and snowboarding at Table Mountain. The two quad lifts will be open with 50 per cent of the runs ready and in excellent condition. The rental shop and chalet opens at 9 a.m. with the lifts open at 10 a.

NCS students win prizes for stellar fundraising efforts

The elementary students at Neilburg Composite School did a wonderful job selling coupon books this year. They sold a total of 193 books. This is the most the school has ever sold.

Maidstone Gully 4-H Club kicked off its 54th year of learning to do by doing Oct. 3. The club has 14 members in five projects: Beef, Light Horse, Exploring 4-H, Clovebuds and Outdoorsman.

RCMP are once again calling on the public for assistance in locating a person missing since June from Red Pheasant First Nation. They are trying to locate Ronald Peequaquat, age 46, who went missing June 25.

The size of the school may be small, but the heart and pride in the players in huge. Borden competed in the 1A boys' provincial volleyball championship on the weekend in Broadview and Whitewood and came away with a silver medal.
