So we're getting a new stadium in Regina for our Roughriders. That's pretty exciting news. And with a price tag of $278 million, it's bound to be an impressive space when it's completed in 2017. But that announcement sparked a question in my mind.

It was three games, three wins for the Marysburg Royals last week. The Royals senior baseball team took on the Saskatoon Outlaws in their first game of the week. Behind a complete game from Luke Strueby, the Royals won by a score of 3-2.

They will bring glory to the region. A group of talented young athletes from the Humboldt region will be headed to the 2012 Saskatchewan Summer Games in Meadow Lake July 29 to August 4.

The Bruno Merchants fastball team won the 2012 Softball Saskatchewan Senior "B" Men's Provincial Championship Draw held July 20-22 in Saskatoon.

There was a lot of excitement on June 28, the day the ground was officially broken at 521-2nd St., the site of the Humboldt Habitat for Humanity building project.
