HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt and District Museum is going to get an extra pair of hands to help catalogue and photograph the items that memorialize the Humboldt Broncos collision.

CARROT RIVER — A body discovered in a rural area north of Airdrie, Alta. has been preliminarily identified by the Calgary Police as a Carrot River man. Sheldon Wolf was reported missing in the late afternoon of Feb. 3.

HUMBOLDT — They left Humboldt to compete – and returned with victory. At a Humboldt Broncos game on Jan. 28, the hockey team and the City of Humboldt recognized those that had won awards on the provincial, national and world stage.

TISDALE — The Tisdale Wildlife Federation awarded their annual Best Overall plaque to Dana Holmstrom, who successfully took down a 175 and five eighths typical mule deer. This was the 16-year-old’s first season hunting and her first kill.

LANIGAN — Around $1,000 worth of one-litre containers of automotive oil were stolen from a Lanigan business’ shed. The shed, located near Main Street and Highway 16, was broken into on the evening on Jan. 30.

HUMBOLDT — For this year’s archives week, the Humboldt and District Museum is going out to the lake. The museum is having an open house on Thursday, Feb. 6 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. where they’ll have 66 historic photos of people at local lakes.

HUMBOLDT — The past and present collided in Humboldt with the launch of the Prairie Women on Snowmobiles’ 2020 mission.

EAST CENTRAL — Pattie Fair’s life was turned upside down when her husband was killed in a highway collision in 2017 in British Columbia.

MELFORT — The Saskatchewan Medical Association (SMA) brought 45 medical students in the province to the Melfort Hospital to teach them about rural medicine over a weekend. The trip was part of the roadmap program.
