A species of carp is spreading throughout southern Alberta’s waterways – and it is up to anglers to stop their spread and, potentially, control their numbers.

A 42-year-old man accused of holding a girl against her will at a remote northern Saskatchewan cabin still hasn’t been released on bail.

As of Sunday, Saskatchewan had the lowest number of active cases in western Canada, despite a rise in new daily cases recently.

At 7 a.m. on Sept. 20, Nipawin RCMP responded to a complaint of a single vehicle rollover involving a car, that occurred off Highway 35 approximately 17 kilometers northeast of White Fox. Nipawin Fire Department and Nipawin EMS also attended.

There are 20 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 20, bringing the total to 1,807 reported cases. The new cases are located in the Saskatoon (7), Regina (10) and South East (2) zones. The location of one case is pending.

Métis Nation-Saskatchewan President Glen McCallum learned yesterday that he has tested positive for COVID-19 despite being asymptomatic, says a release from the MN-S. McCallum is self-isolating and following all public health protocols.

Around 3:50 a.m. Sept. 19, Stanley Mission RCMP responded to a complaint of a single vehicle collision on Highway 915 approximately 15 kilometers south of Stanley Mission. There were five occupants in the car – all adults from Stanley Mission.

Around 5:45 a.m. Sept. 19, Canora RCMP responded to a complaint of a single vehicle rollover (truck) on Whitesand Drive near the community of Canora. An RCMP Collision Reconstructionist, Canora Fire and Canora EMS also attended.

There are 11 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 19, bringing the total to 1,787 reported cases. The new cases are located in the Saskatoon (2), Central West (1), Central East (1), Regina (5) and South Central (2) zones.
