Louise Haubold, a woman with a long history of recreation volunteerism, was recently presented with the George Rathwell Lifetime Achievement Award at the Saskatchewan Regional Parks Association Convention in Saskatoon.

The City of Humboldt has accepted the resignation of Steve Brown, director of finance, from the municipal organization. Brown's final day of work with the City is May 28.

The stardom searchlight has set its sight on Humboldt as local resident Ray Whitton was chosen as one of CBC's Searchlight contestants. "It was actually a friend that suggested I throw in a song that I wrote for my wife," said Whitton.
