The Battlefords Sharks handed out awards for their 2013-14 SFMAAAHL campaign Saturday night. Jetta Derenoski was named the team's most valuable player. She finished the season with 12 goals and 11 assists in 26 games played.

BVC Blaze earn top five finish
The host Battleford Volleyball Club Blaze won fifth place of Tier 3 at the 14U women's Subway Sask Cup No. 2 tournament held in North Battleford last weekend. The Blaze downed the Martensville Outerlimits 2-0 (25-19, 25-11) in the fifth place game.
