Four local skaters have qualified for the upcoming Saskatchewan Winter Games in Prince Albert Feb. 16-19. Corrine Sokul, Kira Tollefson, Cortni Millhouse and Jalissa Klippenstein all advanced to compete in Prince Albert.

The upcoming holiday season will cause some alterations to the schedule at the aquatic centre. For the most part the changes will mean less organized activities in the pools and more available space for leisure swims and lane swims.

The Wilkie Outlaws have won seven straight games to start the NSRHL season. Their latest victory came in overtime Friday night on the road in St. Walburg against the Eagles. The Outlaws beat the Eagles 6-5.

Latrell Charleson scored the decisive goal in the shootout as the Battlefords North Stars beat the Flin Flon Bombers 3-2 Wednesday night at the Civic Centre.

The Battlefords Atom AA Tier 1 Barons travelled to Medicine Hat, Alta. for the Medicine Hat Atom Tier 1 tournament last weekend. The Barons returned home with the A side championship.

The Battlefords Bantam AA Barons have now lost six straight games in the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League. The Barons travelled to Sasktoon Dec. 7 to take on the Stallions.

The Battlefords North Stars continue to have a hard time against the Kindersley Klippers. The North Stars lost 3-1 in Kindersley Tuesday night, dropping five of their last six games against the Klippers.

If the Humboldt Broncos were to ask Santa for anything, it would probably be to keep playing exactly as they have been lately.

Jordan Keller had a goal and two assists to lead the Battleford Beaver Blues to a 6-1 win over the Glaslyn North Stars at the Battleford Arena Dec. 12. Battleford has won three straight games to open the season.

The Cut Knife Colts are undefeated no more. The Meota Combines beat the Colts 6-5 in Cut Knife Wednesday night. Brett Miller had two goals and three assists for the Combines in the win.
