Tuesday, January 22 is a day the staff, students and the community of Annaheim will remember for a long while.

Wednesday, January 23, Humboldt fans were treated to an exciting matchup between the top two teams in the SJHL - the hometown Broncos and the Yorkton Terriers. This was the make-up game for the one cancelled December 2.

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League is ready to party this summer. It was recently announced that the league, which provides some of the best entertainment in the wintertime, has partnered with one of province's most popular summertime events.

The Battlefords AAA Sharks maybe deserved a better result after Tuesday's game at the Battlefords Arena, as they hosted the Prince Albert Bears in Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League action.

The Battlefords North Stars set out for their southern road trip Friday morning with hopes of returning with six points and moving up the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's Bauer Conference standings.

The Battlefords AAA Sharks rarely get a chance to play on the road on the weekend and not have to stay in a hotel. They did that with two games of Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League action in Saskatoon on the weekend.

The Battlefords Midget Stars will be happy to put the month of January behind them.

Tournament action is starting to heat up at the Northland Power Curling Centre. The most recent event was the Regional 4-H Bonspiel on the weekend. First place for senior division went to District 36 Meadow Lake/Pierceland 4-H Beef Clubs.
