The Battlefords Phoenix Sports Bantam AA Barons were on the road again on the weekend and made it a solid trip, earning three of four points. In Waldheim Saturday, the Barons won 4-2 after taking a 4-0 lead.

They had a great time in the tropics. The Humboldt Basketball Club, consisting of nine girls from Humboldt and one from Outlook, were in Hawaii from December 27 to January 4 to play basketball in a 10-team tournament.

There weren't any fireworks for the Battlefords AAA Sharks as they played their first games of 2012. The Sharks were in Regina for two Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League games on the weekend and lost 11-0 and 5-1.
