The long weekend of May usually sees a high number of RCMP calls. In the past serious collisions and alcohol related incidents were issues.

The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP received reports of 102 incidents between May 17 and 23.

The Carlyle District Lions Club held a diabetes awareness presentation at the Senior Citizens Happy Gang building on Tuesday, May 21.

Youth in Saskatchewan can ride with the Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) for only $45 per month during June, July and August.

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of May 20 to 27: During the reporting period, police received 91 calls for service and also conducted numerous tours of the police station to school groups this past week.

The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce has announced a new retail experience for Weyburn and the surrounding region. The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce Retail Expo and Sale will be held at the Weyburn Curling Club from September 20 to 22.

The Weyburn Wor-Kin Shop Corp. recently accepted a generous donation of $10,000 towards the non profit agency's new Day Program Building fund.

On May 1st the Carlyle Rental Centre and Kelly's Hotshot and Trucking Service opened the doors of their new building. They have left Highway 13 for 8th Street west, just north of the motocross track.
