Mary Josephine Krumenacker (nee Haas), late of McTaggart, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the age of 90 years. Mary was born on December 12, 1921 in the Grayson area.

First year of refuse system is successful

Residents of Weyburn have adapted well to using a new automated refuse system. The program was introduced a year ago.

Water drainage information provided to RM council

The reeve and council for the RM of Weyburn listened to a presentation from a representative of the Sask. Watershed Authority about drainage issues, which may come up this spring, depending on how much water accumulates from the winter.

Humane Society sees a financially healthy year

The Weyburn Humane Society turned their financial picture around in 2011, and are heading into 2012 in very good shape, supporters and board members were told at the group's annual meeting held Thursday evening.

Regina developer submits plan for Souris Valley area

A Regina-based developer, Nicor Developments, has submitted a proposal to develop the Souris Valley grounds, and Weyburn city council will be considering the proposal at their next meeting on Monday, Jan. 23.
